In 2001 Ballet Arizona presented its first “Nutcracker Angel Night.” With donations from “community angels” -- ticket buyers, subscribers, and corporate and private donors whose financial gifts help defray the evening's expenses -- Angel Nights are a unique and treasured community service.
Each year more than 4,000 tickets are made available free of charge to clients from service organizations and children and families from community centers in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
The number of agencies served has grown to more than 150, resulting in the addition of a second Angel Night beginning with the 2007 - 08 season.
To find out how you can support "Angel Nights" each season, please contact the Ballet Arizona Development Office at 602-343-6520. To recommend an organization for the invitation list, contact Paris Wilcox at 602-343-6517.
